Bitsigil is a card game made by a small team. We keep what the game needs to run and to stay fair, and nothing else. This page lists all of it.
What we keep
- Your account: the wallet address you sign in with, the name you chose, when you joined, your banner, look, title and profile, and where you last stood in the world.
- What you play: your cards, decks and card backs; the card packs you hold and opened, with their cards; your quests, levels, regions, fishing and pets; your wins, losses and last matches, with your opponents' names; your ranked seasons.
- The coin: your balance and what you earned and spent, line by line; your passes; the payments from your wallet and your withdrawals, with their transactions; your market orders; your invite code, who invited you and what your invites brought.
- Friends: your friends and your friend requests.
- Fair play: the mutes, bans and coin pauses the team gave your account, with their reasons; the reports and bug reports you sent; the lines you wrote in a channel before a player reported you there; and the hours of the day you played, to spot accounts that never sleep.
- Early Access and the Banner War, if you took part: your X account's id, name, handle, picture and number of followers when you joined, your wallet, points, tasks, answers and invites.
- Safety: the networks and devices you sign in from, kept only as codes that cannot be turned back into an address, so that one person cannot play many accounts for rewards or invites. A sign-in is kept as such a code too.
What we never ask for
- Your seed phrase or private key: no one from Bitsigil will ever ask for them, in the game or anywhere else.
- Your email address, your real name, your phone number or a bank card: the game signs in with your wallet alone.
- We store no IP address with your account. Our host keeps the servers' technical logs for a short time, to find faults.
- No ads, no trackers and no analytics. We never sell your data or share it for marketing.
Why we keep it
- To run the game and keep your progress.
- To pay the coin, give what you bought and keep a record of each payment.
- To keep play fair and players safe: cheating, many accounts for one person, harassment.
- To find and fix bugs.
What others can see
- Other players see your name, profile, banner, ranked place and match results.
- Early Access's and the Banner War's leaderboards show your X handle, name, picture, banner and points.
- Everything on Robinhood Chain is public and permanent: payments, withdrawals, minted cards, NFTs and trades, each tied to your wallet's address. No one can delete them, us included.
Where, and for how long
- The game's servers and database are in the European Union, in Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
- Your account is kept while it exists. Our daily backups keep a copy for 14 days.
- When you delete your account it leaves the game at once, and the backups within 14 days.
- Some records stay after an account is deleted. Its coin totals, under no name, so that the treasury's books stay right. The card packs' records, with the account named only as a deleted one: every print run stays counted, which is how the odds are proven. The payments and withdrawals, for our accounts; they are on the chain anyway. A ban, with its wallet address while it lasts, so that a banned player cannot start again. Other players' reports about the account, and the reports and bug reports it sent, under no name and without their pictures. In other players' match histories and coin lines, it is shown as a deleted player.
- Early Access's and the Banner War's records are kept for their rewards: the NFT collection's mint lists, and the titles a wallet's account gets in the game. Ask us on X to have yours deleted; a reward not given yet goes with it.
Other services
- X: Early Access and the Banner War sign in with your X account. X's own privacy policy covers your X account.
- Your wallet, and WalletConnect when you pay from a phone wallet: they carry what you sign, under their own policies.
- Robinhood Chain carries your transactions, and OpenSea holds the NFT collection.
- Our hosts: Railway runs the servers and Supabase the database, both in the European Union.
Cookies and your browser
- This site sets a cookie only when you sign in to Early Access or the Banner War, to keep you signed in, and remembers the language you chose.
- The game keeps your sign-in, your settings and a random id for your browser in the browser itself.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your data, your choice
- Download your data: in the game's Settings, under Account, one file with everything above that is yours. Other players' reports about you are left out, to protect who sent them; the bans and pauses given to your account, with their reasons, are in it. The cards of a pack and the coin of a chest come into it once you open them.
- Delete your account: in the same place, after typing your name. Withdraw your coin first: a deleted account's balance, and its pets' coin not collected, go back to the treasury. What is on the chain stays in your wallet.
- The same wallet can join again later, as a new account from the start.
